Great advice before you publish! And believe me, I need all the help I can get on that front!

First off, who am I? My name is Jessica Urquhart. Writing has always been a hobby of mine, which got its start in middle and highschool, when I'd write short stories for the amusement of my friends and classmates. Currently, I'm working on my first book, my one true love of a story I've been saying I would one day write. Well, that day has come. If you'd care to follow my musings on the adventures and hurdles of writing my first fantasy book, then please, read my blog.

  1. Yep, he don’t lie. Beside the marketing, the cover and blurb sale more books than anything. Having a wide ranging network where your cover and blurb can be viewed along with a good brand for you as an author will definitely help. I recently read an article about a famous author who cranked out a bit of poop to meet a schedule and it sold very well and fans drooled on the pages. Some of it wasn’t drool but we won’t go there. The book was supported by the fan base but non fans were writing, WTF, THIS BOOK SUX! The power of branding and cultivating a fan base of loyal readers will make a huge difference and you don’t have to throw poop to be popular.
